Mary Jane Davies Green sits across the North Hempstead Town Hall.  It features a white gazebo that is the main attraction of the park with paved pathways and sitting areas spread across the area.  It also features a children’s playground with water sprayers.

This 35 acre natural preserve offers an in-depth nature experience with walking trails that can be explored by appointment.  The Victorian mansion on the property houses the Science Museum of Long Island, a nonprofit organization devoted to teaching children about the sciences with a large variety of activities and programs.
